This is my favourite collection in this post, with mixed patterns, colours and cultures - the palette was saturated and rich. The last pictured dress is absolutely stunning, love the mix of colours, the bold print, the simple and beautiful silhouette. That glorious yellow gown is also gorgeous...

Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 PT 1: Prada, Gucci & Alberta Ferretti & No. 21
Bold, vibrant glorious colours continue at Milan Fashion Week:
Prada
Miuccia made sequins, snakeskin, fur and the color pink innocent in dropped-waist, straight-up-and-down silhouette of the twenties flapper—or the sixties dolly bird; and referenced YSL block print evoking his Mondrian dress. There were some python cocooned coats I did not like, and the furry pieces reminded me of Chewbacca...but the gorgeous 'scaled' dresses resembled modern mermaids, the sheer organza ensembles just beautiful, as were the bold 60's and 20's ensembles, outerwear and dresses:

Giannini sent out culottes, pussy-bow blouses topped by snug sweater vests or velvet blazers, and shirtwaist dresses in a eye-opening color palette mixed in a way that at times reminded me of 'Dick Tracy'. Loved the gorgeous leather and outerwear

Strong colours of fuchsia, petrol, electric blue were shown at Alberta Ferretti, my favourite pieces being the simpler monochrome coats and dresses:
