Paris purchase: Celine Trio bag in Navy

Remember this wishlist I posted about before I left for Paris?  Well, I'm happy to report that I managed to cross off an item that was high on my list: the Celine Trio bag:

First, I had non luck at the Rue Francois 1er store, and may I say, I wasn't very happy with the customer service there...They mentioned I might have some luck at their Rue de Grenelle store, so since Lil' Brigs #1 and #2 were asleep in the pram, I went there the next day
The SA's were absolutely LOVELY at the Rue de Grenelle store! I'm wearing: Doo.Ri black jersey dress, Chanel 2.55 reissue with GHW and Nike sneakers (not pictured), and a huge smile...
The Celine on my favourite chair in the Paris apartment (wish I could've kidnapped it in my suitcase)
The navy regular Trio with a little souvenir from Ladurée...
How cute is that keyring? I very much doubt it'll ever hang off my Celine outside my house, but I just couldn't resist it.
On Lil' Brigs kids Eames chair (so yes, it is still a Regular)
 Trio of zips...
With my usual accessories (Ray Ban folding Wayfarer sunglasses available here and here, and Swiss Legend Karamica watch), and a birthday present to myself: Ek Thongprasert moonbeam and jet black crystal bracelet (similar here and here).

Happy Monday to you all!

Reunited (with my Chloe Susanna(s) boots), and it feels so good...

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. If it is at all possible, I am even 'fonder' of my Chloe Susanna boots having left them at the cobbler for a week to have their soles protected (better late than never). After picking them up all polished and gleaming this weekend, I couldn't wait to put them back on.

Chloe Susanna boots in red are available here, and here, and in black here,  here, and here.  Net-a-Porter has them in black, red and blush leather (!) here.
I am trying hard to resist the blush/nude pair.  At first I didn't like them (I thought the gold studs are what 'made' the boot), but am thinking how versatile these'd be for summery outfits, and good when worn with bare legs...

Wore my red pair with a Camilla&Marc black wool-jersey 'tuxedo' mini dress I've had for years (maybe 7+)
It is about time I share pics of my other 'nappy' bag, my Balenciaga Courier in Anthracite, a (slightly) smaller version of my Extra Courier bag I use almost every day.  I don't know why, but Balenciaga no longer makes this size (and it was so popular!), but you can find the Extra Courier in dark cobalt here, and in pale grey here (the bag looks so weird on the model! It slouches much more, and looks more like this when worn).  I am so so happy I found these bags, they make a perfect 'nappy' bag, and the extra courier in particular is great as a travel bag.  They're light, roomy, and importantly for me, sling across the body beautifully...

New in & What I wore today: Ray Ban Folding Wayfarers and ASOS anchor dress

It all started with this post by Garance Dore. A I saw the header picture and read on, my eyes went as wide as teacups: foldable sunglasses?!? Where have you been all my life? I had been considering a new pair of black sunglasses anyway, and when I read about these I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect they'll be for traveling (so these are coming with me to Paris in 3 weeks time for sure).  These are seriously brilliant, and I'm so glad I got them! Fold them and put them in your pocket when entering a store instead of fumbling in your bag for the case, or instead of pushing them up onto your hair and getting tangled with the nose pads (of my aviators), or dropping them tto the ground when you bend down. You can get a pair here.

Ray-Ban foldable Wayfarer sunglasses (I bought the polarized version - still much cheaper than any other sunglasses I own)
Ok, sorry to scare you guys, but I thought I'd show how they fit on the face.  I'm so glad I went in store to try them on, as I was sure I'd go for the bigger/oversized pair, but on trying decided on the original size. n.b. I didn't intend the photo to be fuzzy, but with the camera on timer this is the best I could do...
1. ASOS anchor dress (available here), 2. Chanel matte calfskin reissue bag with gold hardware (found one here and here), 3. Woolworths (yes, my friends, Woolworths!) fleece-lined leggings, 4. Isabel Marant Dicker boots in Anthracite (available here and here)
first pic via Garance Dore, the rest by yours truly

Happy Birthday to me: Chloe Python Paraty!

Apologies for disappearing for a while, I had my parents, sister and gorgeous little nephew visiting last week, and it was a hectic, yet great time...Unfortunately, Lil' J(s) and I got really sick (still are), but I got the chance to celebrate my birthday with my family, which is the biggest present of all. I can't remember the last time my parents were around for my birthday, possibly a decade ago (boy, do I feel old!)?

Anyway, last week was my birthday, and Mr Brigs totally surprised/spoilt me with this stunning birthday present:

Seriously, I am happy just with this box...

The green colour (Tilla) is quite hard to photograph, but I hope I did a better job than net-a-porter, their pictures truly don't do the bag justice!

Hubby has nicknamed my bag 'the snake', I try not to think about that...

available from Net-a-Porter US or Net-a-Porter International

I have had the Chloe Paraty in Python on my wishlist ever since it was first released (i.e. a looooong time), and 'Paraty' also just so happens to be the name of my favourite city in the whole wide world (on the coast of Rio de Janeiro), they are both so gorgeous!

Three years of Brigadeiro - It's about time for an outfit post, don't ya think?

Can you believe I started this blog 3 years ago? How time flies! And how things have changed! I would like to thank the few readers that are still reading my blog, that were there in the beginning. You have traveled with me to Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney...You have seen my waistline grow (and the food responsible for it), and hopefully you will see it go back down, haha! You have seen me fill my wardrobe, and then attempt to whittle it down somewhat. You have seen me tackle harem pants, maternity style, le muu muu, vintage Indian wedding skirt and so many in between. You have seen Lil J (aka Brigadeirozinha) and how she has kept me busy, which is why this poor blog has 'suffered' for over a year.

And apologies to all the readers:

"please give us some new pics of you. you always post tons of photos. its a pitty, please make your blog worth coming back again".

I promise I will try my best...

This is an outfit that I have worn quite a few times in the last few months, and here are a few reasons why I love it:

1. The epaulettes on the Dries Van Noten dress (wish it looked as good on me as it does on the model).

2. The drape on this aforementioned dress (which sadly did not photograph well).

3. The drape and cut of this dress allowed me to wear it on the night I headed to the hospital to deliver Lil J, yes, 10 months pregnant.

4. Although I don't get to wear them that often, I absolutely love these Burberry Prorsum boots.

5. I don't care what 'they' say, I love navy with black.

6. I try to rotate my sunglasses, but these Tiffany & Co. aviators are my favourite.

6. Love my Benah Kodi cuff (I have it in tan too)

7. And of course, my Chanel reissue bag:

Hate how this pic makes me look 4ft tall, and almost just as wide, teaches me not to slouch...ah well!

The lighting was so interesting on this photo, I had to keep it even though it's blurry...

A BIG BIG thank you to all you Brigadeiro readers!!!

xx

I'm back! With a new baby too: Balenciaga Extra Courier bag

I am back from my Singapore and Malaysia trip!

Apologies for disappearing without warning, things were a little hectic before I left, and now that I am back Lil J & I are nursing a very bad cough...

Before I share my travel pics, I thought I'd share pics of my new 'baby': my Balenciaga Extra Courier bag which is my new travel/baby bag, I haven't quite captured its true colour (I took these quickly to kill some time at my hotel room), so may try to take more pics sometime soon:

You can buy a Balenciaga Extra Courier here, but if you prefer the smaller version, the original 'Courier', you can find it here and here.

Dries Van Noten Embellished Orbis Clutch

The detailing on this psychedelic clutch was so incredible, that I could not resist it. The pleated orbis-printed silk, the multilayered sequins, and the orbis* print on the clutch itself makes me want to hang this on the wall, and I might as well, it has yet to set foot outside my wardrobe...

* The Orbis printing process was developed in the 1920's, using wax cylinders to create unique and individual marble-like patterns on fabric.

Burberry Shearling...major coat envy

As you all may already know, coats are my absolute
favourite pieces of clothing, and even though I love those in my wardrobe, they pale in comparison to those of my sisters, especially my sister E. After 6 years in London, I am ecstatic that she has moved back, so that I finally have a sister living in the same country (not in same city, but a quick flight can fix that). She recently came to visit her little niece, and brought with her some of her favourite coats. This Burberry shearling was too gorgeous for me not to snap some shots of it, although E was not terribly comfortable with me 'paparazzing' her during our outing:

Burberry shearling coat (the leather is so so soft, and the shearling lining...heavenly!)
Burberry wool scarf
Mimosa Dip dye silk tunic blouse
Burberry necklace
Diesel jeans
Burberry Prorsum degrade Lowry bag (we must swap bags sometime...)

Chanel sunglasses
Diva pink rose ring
Mascaro riding boots
